How Can I Do Astral Projection?

by admin on February 24, 2010

The ability to astral project is something which everyone already has naturally ? in fact, you've probably astral projected before without knowing it. What we're going to talk about here is learning to consciously use astral projection and have control over where your astral body goes.

Let's assume that you are already familiar with the astral plane and you know what astral projection is. The purpose of what follows is to tell you about a few different ways of how to astral project. If you know which methods work best for you, you can know the powerful experience that is astral projection.

The first technique in learning how to astral project, is one that you can do when you've gone to bed for the night. Let's break it down into five steps.

*Your first goal is to initiate a state of adequate relaxation by relaxing your entire body. In order to reach this state of relaxation you need to be lying down and then, starting at the lowest point which is your toes, tense each muscle and then relax it again. Once you?ve finished doing this with your toes, you do it with you feet, then your lower legs, then your thighs and so you continue upwards until you eventually finish with the muscles in your face. If at this point you feel your body is becoming heavy, do be alarmed at all as this is exactly what should be happening.

*Okay, hopefully you will have achieved a state of deep relaxation, so now you need to control your breathing with slow deep breaths by following a method which has proven to be very popular in meditation. Breathe in deep but slowly and allow yourself to actually feel the air moving into you as it makes its way into your lungs. Now breath out slowly, once again paying attention to the air leaving your body. This is the bit many people find hard due to the extreme relaxation which results. Instead, they simply fall asleep which is of course, the last thing you want to be doing. Focusing on the centre of your forehead will in most cases, help you to remain conscious.

*This is the stage where you?ll need to be aware of two things in particular, the first being the way your physical body feels and the second being your astral body. Your physical body should feel heavy and difficult to move, almost as one would imagine a large boulder to be. As one pays attention their astral body, try focusing on how you would imagine the weightlessness of bubbles to be, gently drifting on the air currents. Focus on the absolute weightlessness of your astral body, feeling it starting to float away. Keep reminding yourself that your physical body is heavy, while your astral body is completely weightless.

*At this stage is when you may be able to "see in infrared", able to make out everything in the dark room in exquisite detail. The room may seem bathed in violet light. If you reach this stage, look up and focus your attention on a light upon or covering the ceiling.

*Envision yourself pulling the drawing imagine that you are pulling the ceiling light into you. As you're doing this you might well get the sensation that you're floating. If you feel this, you can likely look "down" at your own physical body lying still on the bed.

Once you reach this stage, you have consciously astral projected for the first time. Now you're ready to astral travel. Here's another method if the above doesn't seem to work for you.

This one is known as the gazing technique and it's actually quite simple. Choose an object which you can see while you're lying in bed and focus on it. It doesn't matter what this object is, just make sure that it will be within your line of sight while you're lying down.

Simply begin focusing all your attention on the object you?ve chosen for the occasion while you are lying down on your bed. Inevitably your eyes will soon start to feel increasingly heavy and irrespective of how hard you try, your eyes will eventually close. This is a perfectly normal part of the process so don?t feel disheartened but instead, you must make sure that you continue staring at the object through your closed eyes. Providing you do this, you will soon start to sense an irresistible urge to sit up or to stand up. Don?t fight this urge as the feeling is coming from your astral body rather than your physical body. You?ll soon realize this though as because when you turn around, you?ll be able to see your physical body lying on the bed.

If you?re really serious about learning to astral project, you need to understand that these methods aren?t always successful on your first attempt. In all likelihood you may not even be successful with your second or third attempt either but if after that they still don?t work, don?t give up because there are still other techniques so simply try again using a new method.

It's not really all that important how you start to astral project. Whatever works for you is great; the important thing is to let your subconscious mind know that it's OK for your astral body to depart to travel the astral plane and that there's nothing to fear. One way you can get this message across to your subconscious mind is by using affirmations.

Many people still find that conditioning their mind to an extent where astral projection becomes easy can take considerable time but the truth is, there are some incredibly efficient short cuts which can make it possible even after one attempt.

Hypnosis is perhaps the most powerful tool available as it gets you into an ideal state relaxation. Additionally, a really good session will also enable you to grasp and accept the principles of astral projection when you experience it.

The recently developed sonic technology of "binaural beats" can also program your subconscious mind to be deeply relaxed and let down the guard against astral projection.

Once again, astral projection is actually not difficult--it's a natural capability born into you. You just need to use the right tools to get it done, and then you can astrally travel the cosmos!
